Protest
I'd have liked to keep this blog strictly about my inane ramblings and technical nonsense but I can't keep quiet about this: This Belgian proposal (French or Dutch I'm afraid) for the implementation of the European data retention law is just too much.
I'm going to leave the detailed deconstruction to others. They'll doubtlessly point out that this will be ineffective at stopping criminals, unbelievably expensive and a disaster for the privacy of law abiding citizens. All I want from you is to protest. Mail, fax, write letters. Do anything, everything to protest this.
